Rose Quartz: Stone of the Heart

A stone for all types of love: self-love, family, platonic, romantic, and unconditional.

Referred to as the Heart Stone, Rose Quartz may have been used as a love offering as early as 600 B.C. and is still a significant amulet of relationships. It supports attracting new love, romance and intimacy, as well as in cultivating a tighter connection with family and friends. According to folklore, Rose Quartz was formed when Adonis, lover of the Greek (and Roman) goddess Aphrodite, was confronted by Ares, god of war, in the form of a boar. When Aphrodite hurried to protect him she got entangled on a briar bush, and mixed her blood stain the white Quartz pink.

Meditating with Rose Quartz helps in attaining a resonance with the frequency of compassion, dissolving emotional patterns that hold one back, and helps open to accepting higher and more refined frequencies of Light.
